La sangre inquieta

Dos hermanas se enamoran del mismo hombre. La mayor consigue casarse con él y tener un hijo que muere atropellado por un camión. La menor se ausenta varios años y cuando vuelve se lía con su cuñado aprovechando que su hermana se ha quedado ciega al intentar suicidarse, etc… Es decir, un melodramón de tomo y lomo que, además de prescindir de toda lógica narrativa, es servido con todo tipo de excesos escénicos e interpretativos. Película inolvidable por disparatada, una auténtica joya para los amantes del cine kitsch más desmelenado. Los demás simplemente pasarán un rato insufrible. (Cinema Nostrum)

Una combinación única de noir finlandés, telenovela, actuaciones antológicamente malas, y un guion descaradamente infantil. La cara de loca que pone la protagonista en la parte final del film merecía algún tipo de premio, y tengo entendido que la industria cinematográfica finlandesa le entregó uno.

Como contrapartida, por momentos es tan mala que es buena y la fotografía es más que aceptable. A buen entendedor...

Restless Blood

 Tulio’s Restless Blood has once again caused healthy restlessness and exchange of views among both reviewers and the general audience. Opinions on Restless Blood are quite abruptly divided but it is universally acknowledged that it is in any case the most technically solid and finished of Tulio’s works. Tulio is always a veritably difficult case to analyze. There’s in all his work an exceptional lot of good and at the same time bad. This time over, the first-mentioned is ultimately mostly prevailing. The story, though, is once again flimsy and psychologically lacking but it gets treated with such brilliant dexterity that has not here been seen before.
